Why did you choose Truman?
Truman was the right size for me because I was scared of going to a new and big city on my own. I wanted to go somewhere where the professors would know my name and I could run into familiar faces every time I was on campus. The liberal arts aspect was also something that made me want to come to Truman because I wanted to learn about more things than just those related to my major.
What has been your favorite class?
My favorite class is Perspectives in Music: Jazz. It was super fun to learn about the history and different types of jazz. It was a nice break from the rest of my classes.
What is your favorite thing about Kirksville?
My favorite thing in Kirksville is the local shops. I love going to Take Root Cafe for coffee, a lentil bowl, or to volunteer. The thrift shops in town are also great. I personally like The Community Mission; they do so much for locals and I enjoy volunteering for them to help fix the clothes in the shop.
