If you are a non-U.S. citizen applying to Truman State University, you must supply proof of your ability to pay for your educational expenses in order for our Admissions Team to issue you an I-20 (for F-1 students) or a DS-2019 (for J-1 students). This proof must be provided through the Certificate of Financial Support and supporting bank statements. Below is guidance on the amount of money that you need to demonstrate for your immigration documents.
The amounts shown below include an estimate of billed costs of attendance for the first year of study based on current tuition, housing, and fee rates. These amounts are estimates and are subject to annual tuition, housing, and fee increases. Some students will spend more and some will spend less than the amounts shown. These amounts are not a guarantee of how much money will be needed to cover the first year of expenses at Truman. Additionally, students should keep in mind that this is an estimate of only 9 months of expenses for the first year of school. Students need to budget and be prepared for the full financial cost for all years of study at Truman. For a detailed explanation of educational expenses at Truman State University, please see our Costs & Scholarships page. If you have questions about budgeting and planning for your expenses, please contact our international admissions team to discuss your particular situation.
