Professional Staff in the Center for International Students (CIS)
The Director oversees the operations of the center and works directly in individual service areas as needed. The Director’s duties include staff management and training, goal setting, planning, budgeting, setting admission & scholarship criteria, administering the university’s international student program.
The Assistant Director is primarily responsible for the areas of international student recruitment and international admissions. Responsibilities include creating a strategic international student recruitment plan, a marketing and communication plan, assessment of recruitment initiatives, developing recruitment publications, development of recruitment partnerships, agency management, and evaluation and implementation of admissions criteria and processes.
The International Student Advisor manages the federally mandated SEVIS reporting and the processing of applications for benefits for international students. The International Student Advisor supports students directly through appointments and workshops and indirectly through the student worker teams.
